Zhen Peng, Diras Ayoub Win Presigious Awards

Zhen PengZhen Peng, an assistant professor at ECE, has been selected as the Awardee of the 2014 IEEE Antenna and Propagation Sergei A. Schelkunoff Transactions Prize Paper Award. The award will be presented at the IEEE APS/URSI Symposium in Memphis.

The S. A. Schelkunoff Prize Paper Award recognizes the best paper published in the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation for the previous year.


ECE Graduate Student Diras Ayoub has won the Outstanding IEEE Graduate Student Award from the Albuquerque IEEE Chapter. "Mr. Ayoub has an outstanding academic profile that includes his GPA, thesis, and publications," said his advisor, ECE Professor Christos Christodoulou.

"Mr. Ayoub has been training other graduate students to use critical tools to fabricate and measure antennas and RF electronic circuits. Recently he has designed and is involved in the construction of the new anechoic chamber for the Antenna Lab at the ECE department," said Christos.
