Petro Mushidi Tshakwanda Wins IEEE Best Paper Award for 6G Research
Petro Mushidi Tshakwanda, a Systems/Network Analyst III staff member at ECE, has been selected as the winner of the 2024 Best Paper Award from the IEEE Open Journal of the Computer Society.
The winning paper, titled “Advancing 6G Network Performance: An AI/ML Framework for Proactive Management and Dynamic Optimal Routing,” was recognized by the IEEE Computer Society Publications Board, with the announcement made on December 27, 2025.
Editor-in-Chief Vincenzo Piuri noted, “Petro’s work stood out among a highly competitive pool of submissions and was recognized by the review committee for its originality, rigor, and contribution to the field. This recognition reflects the excellence and impact of his research.”
