Faculty Candidates Continue Presentations
The ECE community is invited to attend nine seminars to be given by nine faculty hopefuls over the next few weeks: Two of these candidates will eventually become faculty members at ECE.
The minimum requirement for a faculty position at ECE is a doctorate by the time of appointment in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or closely related fields. Over 300 candidates from all over the globe applied for these two faculty positions!
Each faculty seminar will take place in room 118 of the ECE building from 11 am to noon, followed by a break. A free lunch and a "meet and greet" will take place from 12:30 to 2pm following the seminar. The specific day for each candidate's seminar is shown on the poster below (or click this link).
The preferred qualifications for a position at ECE are a solid publication record, the potential for excellent teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, the potential to develop an externally funded research program, the ability to engage in interdisciplinary research work with other departments (e.g. Physics, CS), and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
